Below are a few case studies to outline some key projects where we created memorable content and activated brands and experiences with our unique approach to content.

TITLE: ZOOM LAUNCH FOR ESTEE LAUDER (with Enterstice)

OBJECTIVE: Estee Lauder needed to host an event to promote a packaging and bottle rebrand for their ‘Advanced Night Repair’ serum to engage a younger audience. Due to lockdown, they were forced to execute the launch online

SOLUTION: Observatory partnered with Enterstice and provided creative direction, stage design, interactive motion graphics for a choreogrhy segment, and DJ graphics for an LED setup, to create a party environment online.

RESULT: A pioneering Zoom launch as an virtual experience with broadcast quality. The turnout involved over 4,000 invited guests and influencers internationally. 4 interactive virtual rooms engaged visitors with music, dance, competitions and games.

TITLE: LEWIS HAMILTON INTERVIEW FOR SKY VR APP RELAUNCH

OBJECTIVE: Sky wanted to relaunch their ‘Sky VR’ app and wanted to enhance an interview with Lewis Hamilton to use as headline content.

SOLUTION: Observatory provided design elements and creative direction using rotoscoping and multi-screen editing to create a virtual studio. Races were combined with the editing where the narrative unfolded through the journey of a race track.The interview was shot on green screen and composited into a virtual environment displaying his historic achievements.

RESULT: Successful relaunch of Sky VR with an innovative visual depicting Lewis Hamilton’s history.

TITLE: SENSIA LAUNCH ACTIVITIES

OBJECTIVE: Rockwell Automation and Schlumberger joined forces to create Intelligent Automation Joint Venture “Sensia” and wanted to

SOLUTION: Observatory directed and produced platform agnostic motion graphic content to deliver key communication over new innovative visual technologies, helping to assert market presence as industry leaders in the technology sector.

RESULT: Observatory worked with the branding and strategy team to develop visual narratives and several experiences including immersive rooms, virtual reality, online content and presentation content for training centers.

TITLE: Dua Lipa’s Levitate Perormance for AMAS (in partnership with Ceremony London & Pixel Mappers)

OBJECTIVE: Dua Lipa needed to perform remotely for her performance during lockdown at the AMAS.

SOLUTION: Observatory provided full production for the performance including Creative Direction, Content Production + Production Management bringing together several teams onsite. Visual content for 360 LED Wall and Projection Mapping inside the Royal Albert Hall was provided to make the stage come to life.

RESULT: A successful virtual show in a unique location, as one of the largest event spaces during lockdown. Currently 20m views online.
