Observatory are a creative visual production company that execute distinctive motion graphic and 3d animation content for fashion, sport, broadcast, stage and agency clients.

From concept to storyboard and the end results, we consult, design and craft contents for wide range of innovative visual technologies. We flexibly create experiences in the form of projection mapping, 360 installations, holograms and LED stage setups.

Observatory services clients such as BBC, Sky, Universal, Dior, Hugo Boss, Al Jazeera & BAFTA and music acts such Jay-Z, 5SOS, Rudimental, Sean Paul & Tiesto for their live tours and installations, as well as immersive technology partners such as Green Hippo, Musion and Igloo Vision to maximise viewer and fan interaction experiences.

Ben Sheppee
MD / Creative Director

A hands on Creative Director who has won several awards for visual contents whilst working abroad in the US, Japan and Paris for 10+ years. Sheppee has directed several landmark projection mapping projects and has delivered and shows for A list music acts. His first company distributed art films, releasing 240 films by 70+ designers and he has written for publications on the subject.

Valeria Matolo
CFO

With a background in management accounts, working for financial institutions in the city, Valeria moved into forensic accounting and now heads up affairs for Observatory. She is also generally the first on the dance floor with a glass of wine and usually gets the party started. She keeps the paperwork and the boys in check.

Kelly Faller

Business Development

Having worked with several digital agencies in the US Kelly decided to seek a new challenge in the UK and has joined Observatory team to bring a fresh edge to the way we work. Kelly has a wealth of experience working with new clients and organising presentation events for high profile clients and helping companies grow.

Chanikul Dechpholkrang (Aun)
Lead 3d Artist

A 3D/VFX artist who enjoys blurring the line between reality and virtual, making people question whether effects being used at all. With an MA in digital effects, Chan first joined the team from his background in projection mapping and has since expanded his skill set across platforms using a myriad of techniques. Oh – and a Qualified drone pilot.

Raeon McKenzie – Abbott

Digital Marketing

With a Business & Marketing degree, Raeon manages all social media platforms. While developing a distinct online presence, She also does market research and keeps up with the latest trends. She is passionate about graphic design, illustrating in her free time as a hobbyist and loves the intricate process behind the motion graphics at Observatory.

Kyriakos Rontsis

Visual Artist

Studied Architecture in Thessaloniki and Film Making at Arts University Bournemouth, Kyriakos brings a unique approach to projects, from conceptual development and aesthetic technique building to 3d animation and 2d motion graphics. Has been awarded by Samsung and the British Arts Council for his workshops and published his films have been screened internationally

Mike Faulkner
Creative Director

Experienced designer working primarily in installations, film, and experimental live performances. Beginning in print graphics, Mike’s work evolved conceptually to address social and environmental themes and explore collaborative processes. His works have been published extensively in print and on dvd internationally and his key projects have been toured for several years by the British Council.
